Major Scale Master Pattern

The major scale is the most important scale in Western music. It uses 7 notes (of the 12 chromatic notes available) arranged in a particular order.

Understanding how the major scale sits on the guitar fret board is essential to also understanding how scale patterns, pentatonic scales and chords fit within the 'Master' pattern.

This video shows the C Major scale mapped out over the neck of the guitar.
