I appreciate all things you've done for me in order to improve my guitar skill but if its possible, please prepare the lessons using video, thanks very much
I'm trying to learn to play lead over chords and improv too. I'm stuck and need help.
there are so many things to buy on the internet but most are not very good. who has the best to learn to play acouistic lead.
your friend ,
Jim
Generally, playing lead is the same for both electric and acoustic guitar. You do it the same for both. So you don't really need to distinguish between the two.
There are several approaches to playing lead. The pentatonic scale approach is probably the easiest to start with.
Then you have the concept of using the scale for the key you are in.
Then there's the idea of using chord tones as the basis for your note choices.
But hey, you have given me a great idea for an article. I will write one and put it up on Free Guitar Chords.
As for recommending something on the internet, (apart from FD), I don't really know, I haven't done any research on that. Most of what I have seen is either pretty crappy or too advanced for beginner lead guitar playing.
And most beginners try to play solos way beyond their ability. They fail, of course, and that can also become pretty discouraging.
Sorry I can't be more help. But it is a BIG question.
Or, perhaps you may like to start off with learning blues soloing. That's a good way to progress. The 'blues' is at the heart of a lot of music. (Uses pentatonics a lot.)

Yes! Videos. That's the purpose of getting feedback here.
I will indeed be making videos. But please be more specific on what exactly you want extra help with. Just saying make videos is somewhat vague.
But in fact, there are some videos you can download. Hope this is sorta what you are looking for.
Guitar Chord Videos
You will read more about these videos in part 7 of Guitar Chord Secrets.

Hey Jim,
That's not really a question about Part 4 of GCS.
But anyway, BIG subject.

This is something I go into in detail in my Fretboard Domination membership.
