Blues Midi & MP3 Backing Tracks

This is going to be one of the most powerful sections of this site. I will be (eventually), providing many practice backing tracks for you to practice all your chords and scales for common chord progressions for ALL keys!

But, in the meantime, here's a few "blues" midi and MP3 files you can practice with.

It's best to download them into a folder on your computer. Just right-click on them and choose "save-target-as" and point to the folder where you'll save them.

Over time, I will be adding plenty more guitar backing tracks. So fire them up and have fun practicing your chords and scales.

Later on I will categorize them and have lessons that explain how to use them for maximum benefit.

Blues  Backing Track Midi's in C Major

A few blues midi guitar backing tracks in the Key of C. They are in different styles as it's important to be able to play in different styles. Some will seem trickier than others to play along with if you are a beginner.

The chords are C, C7, F7 and G7 for all tracks. If you are learning to solo, you can try using the Am pentatonic scale. (Also known as the C Major pentatonic.)

You can also use the C minor pentatonic which is the basis of the C Blues scale.

Also try the C major scale and the Bb major scale (Dorian mode).

The blues is traditionally a 12 bar form. That is, you play the 12 bars and just keep repeating them as long as you like.

The chords are Am, Dm and Em.
