JB's Recommended Learn Guitar Courses

--Beginner/Intermediate Learn Guitar Methods--

I've been teaching guitar almost as long as I have been playing - since the early 60's. And during my online research for good learn guitar products I have found most of them to be crap. Spammy websites that promise the earth but never deliver - and they always leave out most of the important stuff altogether...!

So here, I'll only list those that meet my demanding criteria for quality information with well-explained but easy to follow lessons. In others words, only those that truly deliver the best information in the easiest way to learn and get fast results from. Of course, YOU have to follow through to get the results. My advice? Just get one and follow it right through to the end. That way you'll be in a much better position to know what else will help you, and you will learn a lot faster that way.

--Blues Guitar Methods--

I'm a blues nut. Blues just oozes feel and emotion. So I checked out a lot of sites online and came up with these great products. I'll add more as I find them and if I think they are deserving of my recommendation...

Blues Guitar Unleashed: This DVD course by Griff Hamlin is excellent. Simple lessons that deliver results fast. Not a Blues 101 course. You need to be reasonably proficient at playing chords and have some understanding of pentatonic scales to get the most from this course. You need to enter your email to get access to demo videos first. Well worth it though.

Beginner Blues Guitar: Also by Griff Hamlin but for the true beginner. Good basic stuff. Very easy to follow and understand. Excellent for a beginner to start getting some basic liks and riffs down that will build the foundation for your future blues guitar playing journey. (NOTE: You need to sign up to get some free videos first. Just do it. :)
